I had previously light painted Jusztina Hermann of Delighters Theatre and her friend Zoja in a cemetery for the advertisement of a Cirqulation Cabaret night on the theme “Cirque Noir”.
I couldn’t wait for the summer to do some more light painting of her costumes in the forest. We went to Blackford Hill and found an interesting spot with plenty of moss.
Light painting has to be done in darkness and I shoot with a DSLR. That means I have to set up the shot when there is enough light for me to see what I’m framing, wait for the light levels to come down and then light paint. Which usually means shooting just one set up at a time. It is difficult to frame a different composition when you can hardly see anything.
A couple of different poses and we were done.
