The setting in Roslin was enchanting\u2014a sea of delicate blue blossoms painting a dreamlike backdrop.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We took some simple shots, capturing Jusztina’s natural beauty.\u00a0<\/span>The soft light bathed her in a soft glow, which I enhanced using a small flash\u00a0<\/span>in a softbox<\/span>\u00a0to the camera’s left.<\/span><\/p>\n

I like to take a lot of photos during a shoot, as sometimes a small change in pose can make a big difference.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I let Jusztina go through<\/span>\u00a0a\u00a0<\/span>myriad\u00a0<\/span>of<\/span>\u00a0poses, firing away while adjusting the composition as needed.<\/span><\/p>\n

I had to widen my angle of view for this one and there was a distracting element in the background. Thank God for Photoshop!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I used my trusty telephoto zoom to ensure I only got bluebells in the background of my environmental portraits.<\/span><\/p>\n

But we weren’t here for just standard portraits. We wanted to inject some fun! Enter the soap bubbles. Filled with rainbows, they became our playful props.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Initially, we tried one big bubble, but things didn’t work out and we had to go to plan B.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Getting a pic like this is a question of timing.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I changed the lighting setup with two small flashes<\/span>. The<\/span>\u00a0first one on the left and the other on the right. Jusztina is in a narrow beam of light. The underexposed background makes the bubbles “pop” (pun intended).<\/span><\/p>\n

The real showstoppers, though, were the levitation shots. Jusztina’s expertise and a bit of digital trickery defied gravity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
