I put out another post in the Glasgow Musicians Facebook group looking for potential collaborators for my light painting project. Matteo, a drummer from Italy who had recently moved to Scotland from Hong Kong, was interested.<\/p>\n

He has a creative collaboration going with a saxophone player and an illustrator from France. The shoot occurred in the winter time, so it was safer to go inside. Matteo\u2019s flat was rather bare, but he had his drum kit in the attic, so I did the first light painting there.<\/p>\n

I love the metallic reflections produced by the light painting process.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

There was also a sofa in that same room, so turning the camera about ninety degrees to the right, I was able to light paint the illustrator. At that point I had exhausted the rather limited possibilities offered by the drum kit room.<\/p>\n

The scene is quite minimalist and wouldn’t work as well without the piece of carpet on the wall.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

But I had noticed the potential of the \u201ccreative mess\u201d present in the rest of the attic. This is where I light painted the last member of the group. To the far right of the picture, you can see the door to the drum kit room.<\/p>\n
