I had posted a request for light painting collaborators in the Edinburgh Musicians group on Facebook, and Craig was one of the first people to reply.<\/p>\n

He chose Saint Anthony\u2019s Chapel in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh as the location. I had already done a shoot there, but it was in 2009 so I was happy to visit the place again.<\/p>\n

In a location such as Saint Anthony\u2019s Chapel, it is not really possible to eliminate the sky from the composition. That means it is best to shoot during the blue hour, when the sky is a deep shade of blue. I took one ambient light frame for the sky and then light painted the rest of the scene.<\/p>\n

I used two LED lights to do this light painting. A small one for Craig, and a more powerful light for the chapel.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
