For my third blog post about my recent trip to Canada,\u00a0 let me introduce you to another beautiful regional park.<\/p>\n

The Capilano river flows from north to south on Vancouver’s North Shore and is one of three primary sources of drinking water for the residents of the Vancouver metropolitan area.<\/p>\n

Also within the confines of the park is the southern part of Capilano Lake.<\/p>\n

The lake is separated from the Capilano river by the Cleveland Dam.<\/p>\n

Cleveland Dam. It hadn’t rained for a while, so there was only a little water flowing down the dam.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Capilano river has a salmon run, that was obviously affected by the construction of the dam in the early to mid 1950’s. A fish ladder was built downstream of the Cleveland Dam to allow the salmon to bypass the dam.<\/p>\n

The beautiful scenery makes the park attractive to film and television productions. And when I was visiting, it proved an ideal location for an outdoor wedding ceremony.<\/p>\n
