Max & Ben’s Bistro is a restaurant in the tourist town of Auchterarder, Scotland. I had previously taken photographs of some of their menu, and they wanted pictures of their other dishes. Not a big budget shoot, so I kept it simple. One light camera left to sidelight the food and reveal its texture. it is a good way of making the food appetising.
Having good photographs of your dishes is essential for a restaurant. There is no better way to turn off potential customers than with bad pictures.
I only had a couple of hours to take the pics of the menu and things got interesting when my main camera suddenly stopped working properly. I had a backup and things eventually turned out to be OK.
And now for some desserts.
