Light Painting in a Recording Studio

Claudio Clafrica, an audio production student at the University of Edinburgh, had agreed to collaborate on my light painting project. He was in the process of recording an album and suggested we shoot at the recording studio located in Reid Hall.

The place was pretty small, so there really only was one good composition possible. The place also lacked colour. I am a night person and I know many people in the music industry are. So I thought of giving the scene a more nocturnal feel by light painting part of the studio with a blue coloured gel on my LED.

In such a small place, I shot with the widest angle lens I have.

I like the atmosphere created by the blue background. Do you?
